Our AU-SHIP Medicare Outreach Event on October 17th at the Goodwill Career Center in Opelika, AL was a success! We had 10 pharmacy students from the Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy volunteer, and they were able to assist 5 individuals from the local community in selecting the best Medicare prescription drug plan for 2018. Thank you to Nicole Stroud for her wonderful assistance as the SHIP counselor at the event! We also had great involvement from SHIP overall, with surprise visits from Dawn Glascock (SHIP counselor at Jan Neal Law Firm in Opelika, AL) and Sharon Jalieba (Director of Alabama SHIP).
